Classic line, from what I think is Wayne's finest movie. The dialogue in True Grit is so well written, and so close to an authentic touch of the language of the period that it hurts. We don't hear cowboys talking like 1940's longshoremen, or 1980's waiters. We hear late nineteenth century language, used pretty well.
