WebMay 12, 2024 · Sometimes the buffeting is caused by wind that blows up from under the front windshield or fairing. Your eye line should be just above the top of the windshield so you are not looking through the windshield. I bought a 8", 9" and 10" from Fastaire at about $27 or $28 each. The 9" is best for my heigth and I just put the 10" on for my summer trip to the East Coast for a little less wind for the long stretches. I can still see over the 10" and get just enough wind to stay cool.
WebJul 11, 2010 · The wind buffeting is tolerable without lowers, but virtually nonexistent with the stock Road Glide non-vented lowers. It is a quiet smooth ride. The problem that I have with the lowers is the heat. We are averaging temps in the 90's and I can't take it much longer than 30 minutes before my bottom end is cooked.

IME, the little fork baffle that mounts between the forks does more to keep the wind down to the face and head. They do make it a little warmer in the winter though.
