The base game now just sets the Reaper weapon damage to a very high value to ensure instant zombification. Item transfer time between bases can be modded in gameconfig.xml. WebbXenonauts is more in the spirit of the original UFO: Enemy Uknown in that it's more "simulationy" instead of "gamey". It's not a game where you always win if you make the right choices. There's a bigger element of randomness involved and you have to accept that sometimes you will just lose people, even missions, no matter what you do.
